Gorge Rides is a free e-bike lending library operated by eBike Multnomah Falls LLC ("we," "us") under a contract with Forth Mobility, funded by a Washington State Department of Transportation grant. Bikes are loaned at no cost to eligible residents of Bingen and White Salmon, Washington.
To borrow a bike you must:
Loans range from 2 to 30 days, available any time between June 1, 2026 and June 1, 2027 (program window). One bike per household at a time during the pilot. We may modify, defer, or decline any reservation at our discretion based on availability, fleet condition, weather, or program policies.
No fees are charged to borrow. A reasonable refundable security deposit may be collected at checkout to cover potential damage; the deposit is returned in full when the bike is returned in working order.
You agree to:
Normal wear is expected and not your responsibility. Damage caused by neglect, abuse, or improper use may result in charges up to and including the deposit amount or replacement cost. Theft must be reported within 24 hours; a police report is required for insurance.
You can cancel any reservation up to the day before pickup or delivery at no cost. If you fail to pick up a bike without notice we'll mark it a no-show, and repeated no-shows may affect future eligibility.
We reserve the right to deny or end a participant's use of the program for behavior that endangers others, fraud (including misrepresenting residency or age), repeated damage or theft, or repeated no-shows.
Riding a bike carries inherent risk. You assume that risk. To the maximum extent allowed by Washington law, eBike Multnomah Falls LLC, Forth Mobility, and our funders are not liable for personal injury, property damage, or other losses arising from your use of the bike, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. The detailed liability waiver you sign at checkout governs.
We may update these terms during the program. Material changes will be communicated by email and posted on this page.
