It takes about five minutes online, then a short visit (or delivery). Here's exactly what to expect.
Reserve anywhere from 2 days to 1 month, any time between June 1, 2026 and June 1, 2027. You can change or cancel free of charge.
Pick up at Daubenspeck Park, Rhine Village, or downtown White Salmon — or we'll deliver to your home. Both are free.
Name, address, phone, date of birth. We need to confirm you're 18 or older and live in Bingen or White Salmon — that's the program's eligibility.
A photo of your WA driver's license or state ID is how we verify your age and residency. We keep it secure and delete it after verification.
A short, plain-language agreement covering helmet use, where you can ride, and what happens if you crash. Standard stuff for any bike rental.
You'll get a text and email confirming your reservation and the exact pickup or delivery time.
About 10 minutes — bike controls, helmet fit, lock use, and a safe route for your trip. Available in English or Spanish.
You're rolling. Take groceries, drop kids at school, run errands, explore the Gorge — whatever you need.
That's it. No credit check. No income requirement. No fees. Up to one bike per household at a time during the pilot.
Nothing. Gorge Rides is grant-funded — borrowing is free. We may collect a small refundable security deposit at checkout to cover damage; the full amount comes back to you when the bike is returned in working order.
